Welcome home!

After a 22 hour journey from Portland we arrived to our new home in Tianjin. We were kindly greeted by the headmaster and his wife who ushered us into our new apartment, and new it is! Never lived in and a nice blank canvas for us to make into our own. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a ‘balcony’ like a mini conservatory and a small laundry room. We were set up with basics like bedding, towels, a kettle, tea and more. For a start we’ve been able to unpack our cases and we have set up the home comforts we love. We were extra pleased that for our first day today we don’t have to report until 2! So until then we will be unpacking and possibly checking out the local area.

Mr. And Mrs. T

Going, going, gone!

The time has come to say goodbye to the USA, and hello to China. We’ve managed to pack up our life into 6 cases (all under the 50 lb limit!), and 4 carry ons. We are looking forward to literally jumping into the future!

Tianjin here we come!

Wellington College – A look into our future!

We were very lucky to be invited up to Wellington College in Crowthorne. We spent two days on site as part of an induction for our new jobs at Wellington International, Tianjin. It is hard to describe what an amazing campus this is. Full of history and charm this school gives children the opportunity receive a high caliber education as well as learn the importance of being a well rounded individual. It is fair to say that we feel very lucky to have been given the opportunity to work for such a prestigious school.
