France for a day

The day has finally arrived where I get to visit France!  After reading My Life in France By Julia Child with Alex Prud’homme and watching too many episodes of The Great British Bake Off, I have been salivating to get over there and taste some delicious food and wine.  Our little seaside holiday in Walmer, Kent lends beautifully to a ferry journey across to Calais, France.  At at the price of £1 pp each way, we couldn’t resist.

So for today I will say goodbye to England and cream teas and hello to croissants and wine.  I’ll even leave my knitting at home (yes, I have started knitting!!).

Hanging out in Bristol

As you know we headed up to Bristol earlier in the week to see Joseph (well, H) and his amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. To kill some time before the show we went for a little wander.

After walking further into Bristol we discovered a genuine Banksy along Park Street. I have had an interest in Banksy for quite a few years now especially with the South West connection!

For those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the past 6 years check out:

also the movie ‘Exit through the Giftshop’ is a fantastic documentary about a guy who follows Banksy during the period where he pulls off some of his more elaborate stunts.

H from Steps and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

We couldn’t resist the opportunity to see Ian “H” Watkins in action.

He’s still got it! However I am not entirely sure what “it” is.
